A few years back I was into what I call my scented wax bears phase. Here are a couple of pictures of two that were served up as potential gifts at a local craft fair.Making scented wax bears is fun, messy, fulfilling, did I say messy and quite aromatic! It is very important you choose the right kind of bear. I preferred working with Russ bears and some of the more expensive ones as they seemed to finish off nicely. A regular wax block melted down works well, but the Soy wax works even better - although a little more costly.
Finish off the bear presentation by adding flowers and or candles, mounting them on sleds and in baskets - just allow your creativity to flow. Wrap each in a gift bag - the kind you seal with a hair dryer works great. I still have a few bears from over five years ago, that still give off a good scent. Should the scent fade, place the bear back in a plastic bag, sit in a sunny window for an hour or so, or take a blow dryer to it - be careful not to hold the dryer in one place - wax melts if you catch my drift. Remove from bad and you have a refreshed scented bear.
