An experiment in Mod Podge Dimensional Magic

The painting to the left is a white rose on an oval piece of wood painted black with a cover of Thick Coat.  The cards below are painted in enamel on card stock and instead of using Thick Coat on them, I actually used the Mod Podge Dimensional Magic.  Didn't really notice any difference in the products and in fact they were both very similar to the tube I had of something similar from the One Stroke FolkArt line for paper products.  Don't have the bottle right in front of me so can't recall exactly the name of it.

The dimension adds a nice little touch to the cards, but I have found that you have to be careful or they crack.  Maybe I need more than one layer of the dimension on the card for it to be stronger.  Will have to experiment a bit more and get back to you all here when I learn if there is a difference.

I really like using the Dimension product on wood such as the rose painted on the wood magnet to the left.  Gives it a nice shine and looks very nicely finished off.

Another thing I like to experiment with is cut work on my cards.  The cut work adds a nice touch to an otherwise normal painting.  On the Wild rose card to the left I used the Dimensional Magic product only on the center of the flowers.  As far as the card above with the rose and drop flowers, I only used it on the drop flowers which gave the card a little POP!
