Have you done some recent remodeling of an older home? Did it have a solid wood door that you removed? If so, I have the perfect idea for you to re purpose it into something useful and not send it to the landfill. I need to get another door by the way if anyone has one lying around - :) Anyway, take that old door and cut it in half down the middle for the full length of it. Take these two halves and butt them together at an angle so that it would fit into a corner. Figure out where your shelves are going to be and then cut them to size and screw them in place. ( I would sand the door down good before you do this step). Once you have everything together the way you want it, start painting. I tend to use a tone on tone sponge painting technique which helps hide the flaws of the old door (cracks, nail holes, chipped paint - some doors have several layers of paint) and so on. Pick a design to paint and if you aren't an artist, don't let that stop you. You can stencil a design or even decoupage a design on the door. Just have fun.
