It was a busy weekend

I started on Wednesday making the Sheet cake for the 40th Birthday, proceeded to make 2 dozen cookies on a stick for Grandma's 99th Birthday and for the twins christening so I could paint them Thursday night after I got the cake Birthday cake painted and decorated. (I added some chocolate molded candies to the birthday cake as well) Thursday night, I did get the cakes and cookies painted so I was still on Schedule and finished off the night by completing the two Floral centerpieces for the Twins Christening on Sunday. Friday night was my first night at the Restaurant working, so I went straight from my day at work to the Eagles Kitchen and put my apron on. Proceeded to develop a migraine, but made it through the night. Got up Saturday morning, headed back to the kitchen to start the catering preparations for the twins christening that we were catering on Sunday.

We got all the food prepared on time, then went in search of flowers at the local farmers market to decorate the hall at the church for Sunday's Christening celebration. Picked up a bunch of flowers for Grandma's 99th Birthday as well. Never bought so many flowers in my entire life then proceeded to break the record in ten minutes. Who could go wrong with a huge bouquet of flowers for just $8 each - they were beautiful! I was such a good customer they gave me "onions"! Yes 6 onions and invited me to come back again! They were a cute little Hmong couple that have been at the market for as long as I can remember and I have bought flowers from her at least once a year, but never as many as I bought on Sunday.

On top of all that, my daughter brought the grand kids up. Tre is a bright little (active) 4 year old and Jocelyn is just starting to develop a personality at 3 months of age. She finally weighs 10 pounds so I don't feel as though she is going to break anymore. She is a cutie with the prettiest blue Sapphire eyes I have ever seen - well that is until Tre pointed out that he also has blue eyes as well - shame on me. Leanne also stopped and picked up my oldest daughter from her group home and brought her home as well -

On Sunday, Baby Jocelyn had me up at 4:30am which was alright I guess. She is just like her brother Tre used to be. No matter when they wake up they are smiling. The little stinker was back to sleep by 5am and I was busy in the kitchen getting everything prepared for grandma's 99th Birthday celebration that was going to take place later that day. All in all, it was a great weekend - even if it was one of the busiest I have had in a long while. You would think with all the activity I would have lost weight, but I noticed I gained a pound this morning - going to have to stop taste testing the foods I guess! Be happy everyone - 'til next time ~~Kim
